Holding tanks - sizes

We have a 2001 Jayco Eagle Class C motorhome. No where in manuals, doors in motorhome, etc. can I find the size of my black and grey holding tanks. Anyone have any idea what size they are? The fresh water tank is listed at 36 gallons. The archives for Jayco only goes back to 2003. Someone on this forum told me that Jayco didn't make the Eagle series in a motorhome. I can assure you they do because we have one. Thanks for any help any of you can give me.
  • I've found a tag on the driver's doorjamb with tank capacities listed by weight

Drain you holding tanks then use a five gallon bucket and fill them up, That will solve the mystery pretty darn quick.

And if you find something written down, you will find it to be wrong!
  • Called Jayco and they gave me the info real quick. Sometimes we depend too much on the Internet. Going straight to the source is something we can forget. Thanks for everyone's help. Oh, the sizes are 39 grey and 35 black in case anyone wants to know.
  • Are you sure there isn't a tag somewhere inside your unit with the specifications of several things listed?

In our Itasca Class C, Winnebago glued a tag on the back wall of a clothing cabinet with all the specs - weights, tank sizes, etc..

Not sure why you are asking? Would you like to know because of the weight? I guess you would like to know if your gray tank will hold a full fresh tank? It does make some difference to know how accurate are your needs. You can always do a rough calculation by looking underneath and meaure and multiply the height x width x length in inches divided by 240 will about equal the liquid gallons.

When the gray or black is full it will overflow and it really does not matter much how much Jayco says it should hold. :@
  • Tried Jaycos website. Have not called them so I'll try that tomorrow.
  • It's a secret......there is nothing about holding tank sizes.

Have you tried contacting Jayco directly
