Holiday Rambler Vacationer

Holiday Rambler Vacationer 1999

Hi, Looking for opinions. I am considering a first time RV purchase of a 1999 Holiday Rambler Vacationer with 22,500 miles for $20,000. Am I just asking for more problems than I can solve buying a coach this old? I am not mechanically inclined. • OK - let me add some info:
Tires less than a year old,1 slide,
new fan belts, radiator hose, battery, heater hoses, fuel filter, air filter, a/c Blower, 3 year old frig and roof just resealed. 550 hours on the generator which was recently serviced along with the motor. The current owner says everything works and he would drive it "around the world" in the shape it is now.
  • Like I have said often, an RV of that vintage is a part time job.

If you are not mechanically inclined, you will be soon enough.

    Best of luck.
  • HR makes a great camper. However we will need more information about the camper before rendering an opinion. Perhaps some pictures too.

    Slides or no slides?

    jacks or no jacks

    condition of the roof

Age of the tires (there is a number on the tires that tells you their age) exmpl: 2212 = made the 22nd week of 2012.

condition of the walls on the exterior walls

Any damage from leaks? Check for waviness on the outside walls and softness on the inside walls near windows.

    Do the appliences work?
