Holiday weekend camping
We are so new to this but I was surprised how many camp grounds are filled up already for memorial weekend how early are people booking in advance

In 1980 after trying to get to a campground less than 100 miles from home and it took 7 hours on the Friday before Memorial Day we made the decision that we would never go camping for a 3 day holiday weekend. Now we arrive the weekend before and stay until Tuesday after the holiday. No traffic problems.
One resort for July 4th we have to book a year in advance.
X2 - we never camp on holidays. I go camping to relax and get away from it all. I've seen CG's on holidays and it's a madhouse. Not to mention those weekends are usually a lot more expensive.
