Honda Ridgeline - Saw one being towed - anyone doing it?

Honda automatic transmissions are not towable as of 2015 I believe. They told me that it was so that they could get better gas mileage on the CRV. But talking to the sales people I do not believe that the new tranny gets any more then my 2013.
