Honda Ridgeline - Saw one being towed - anyone doing it?

Saw a Ridgeline being towed - yes I know it says no in the manual but -

Looking to find someone who is doing it.

Would love to trade my MDX into a Ridgeline.

Blue Ox has a Base Plate so someone is doing it.

Thanks,

Yes, I know what it says in the Manual!

Yes, I am Hard Headed!
  • When a vehicle says it can't be towed four down in the manual, that does not mean it can't be towed without modification. So they may have installed the Remco device or driveshaft disconnect, or maybe their just ignoring the manual.
  • I believe Honda is re-introducing the Ridgeline for 2016. Some reports say it will arrive in the fall of 2015 and some say spring of 2016. I always thought the Ridgeline would be a good compromise between a reasonably sized toad (weight wise) and a reasonably sized truck, but I could never get past how ugly they look. I don't think I'm the only one who dislikes the looks since you rarely see any on the road or even at the dealer. Supposedly, the 2016 will have a new body design that looks more like a conventional truck.
  • I see on the Honda site that the Ridgeline is no longer offered. 2014 is the last year for that model.

    MM.
  • Depends what year of Ridgeline was being towed. If it was 2005 and before they could be towed. Not the new one's. Ridgeline trucks have not changed much in the last ten years as far as to body style. I believe they had the same transmission as the Honda Pilot pre-2005.
