Hot Springs

Leaving for Hot Springs Arkansas a week from this Friday. We have reservations at "Cloud Nine RV park" about ten miles from Hot Springs, anyone ever stay there? Anything we should do/see while we are there? Thanks
  • We have stayed there and really enjoyed it. A little out of the way but not a problem to get to. When the clouds moved in all we could see were the tree tops.

As I recall they held a hamburger fry for the evening meal.

  • Did Hot springs in 2010 couple days at the state park, roads out of there West were really bad, watch the bridges they were rough.

Cloud 9 is a very nice park. Have stayed there a couple of times although several years ago. Steep climb to get into the park but I made it in a 1984 Pace Arrow with no problem. Don't know about spring time but great views in the fall.

How steep is steep? Should I disconnect the car from the back and have my wife drive it up? Is it that steep or will it be ok leaving it attached? :@
  • Cloud Nine is a nice park but way out of town and fairly steep climb to the park. We prefer Lake Catherine State Park or Catherine's Landing RV Park.
Things to do: Hot Springs Mountain tower. Grand Promenade. Garvan Gardens. Bathhouse Row and downtown. Gangster Museum (small but informative). Duck Boat Tours of Lake Hamilton.
  • Rest and heal. Do the baths and massage. Drink the water. Fish.hike, loaf.
