Yikes! I see what you mean on the price difference with AGM batteries. Maybe adding water on occasion isn’t so bad after all.
I'm not complaining about life of the batteries. I am currently on my third set of 6 volt batteries in 14 years. I think the current set is almost 5 years old now and they are actually still working. I just know it's almost time for replacement. I was just looking to go to maintenance free.
