When we had our gasser I bought a pair of new Trojan T105's at the custom golf cart shop in town. They were very expensive and worked very well.
The Knight came with Interstates, 2 workhorse batteries for the chassis, 4 2200's for the house.
She is 6 years old now. One of the chassis batteries went lame last fall, I just pulled it out (for the winter).
I am looking at probably replacing all 6 batteries in the spring, though since we're not travelling as much as I like these days, and plugged in always, I may let the house batteries ride until something actually goes bad....
It is true that there are only perhaps 2-4 non Chinese battery manufacturers, and many retailers get the same batteries with different labels for their "House brand"
when the time comes, I'll look at Walmart, and at napa and asutozone, and do some research as far as who actually makes the batteries, though even then, they might not be the same. Walmart and Sears are both famous for getting a primary manufacturer to make them a lousy product at a low price.
When push comes to shove, I will probably get real interstates for the chassis, and Trojans for the house.
