How can I charge chassis batteries off of coach charger

My chassis batteries do not charge except off the coach alternator. I have an '06 Holiday Ambassador 8.3 ISC. I made some jumpers with alligator clips to try when it is parked and plugged in but then ...

I've talked to several folks with DP's who told me their chassis batteries don't receive a charge from the converter/inverter.

Always wondered why that is.. it seems that on most gas coaches the chassis battery receives a charge from the converter/inverter, as ours does.

Does anyone know why??
