How can I charge chassis batteries off of coach charger

My chassis batteries do not charge except off the coach alternator. I have an '06 Holiday Ambassador 8.3 ISC. I made some jumpers with alligator clips to try when it is parked and plugged in but then ...

I put a quarter under the battery boost switch to hold it on. Yes I know the Big Boy says "intermittent duty" but that's for 1200 amps, not 200 or less.
