How Do I remove This Trim Piece On A Fleetwood

I need to remove this trim you see in the pics, its the one going up towards the roof, I have a squeak going on in this area on the wall where it meets the windshield, I suspect the screws are loose behind this trim, how do I go about removing the trim without damage to the trim or paint.

  • Is there somewhere you can buy replacement trim? - Just in case this one breaks into pieces while removing.

I have the weep hole covers, I know what you are talking about its a annoying squeak that has got worse over time, I have done all that I can from inside and I do believe the screws behind that trim are loose because the squeak comes from the exact same spot on other side of wall.

well pitter patter lets get at er its pretty simple to remove the moulding and take a look

Yea I can just get out a screw driver and pry away but what I am trying to learn is how to remove without damage.

If this was somewhere else in motorhome other than front I would probably never hear it but its right up front in driver seat area.

I am going to ask a dumb question here but are you hearing a squeak or a whistle like sound? Reason I ask is on the driver's window there is weep holes for the water to drain out those holes have a cover on them if that cover has fell off you will get wind noise that can sometimes sound like a squeak.

Both pics are the same trim, one is the lower part and the other is the higher part going up to roof area, so you say it just peels off, if so I can glue back up but I also don't want to damage the trim while removing.

sometimes the maker runs silicon or secoflex then its a mess taking off this trim.If its not sealed on either side then its easy
it just prys off as is a clip lip fit so to speak
just be carefull because you can stress crack the paint as this is painted rubber cover trim

looking at the pictures I don't see it as sealed so it should be easy to remove

  • If it's like mine it is a piece of plastic with glue on back that will peel off. May ruin thou. Second picture don't under stand if its the same kind. Without going out to the MH and looking the trim under the seal may have screws in it. Mine blew off. I'll go look.

Went and looked. Has like double edge tape and screws about every ft. Will ruin when removed I think. Sealer under the molding. If you have ever tried removing double side tape you will understand
