How do we know if TPMS system is installed?

I went to check the tire pressure on my recently purchased Class C. The rear duel tires did not have a stem to allow me to use a tire gage.

I then wondered if I had the TPMS system on my tires.

If so, how can I tell if the system is there?

If it is a TPMS system, how would I increase the tire pressure in the tires when they are low?

How does the TPMS system work to alert the owner that the tires need attention?

Always appreciate the wisdom of members on this forum.

I think you are confused. Is this your first dealings with dual rear tires ??

TPMS or not, there is a stem SOMEWHERE. They most often are really hard to see and get to on the inside tire but they are there; have to be.

A TPMS system has sensors, either at the base of the stem inside the tire (factory setup) or the outside of the stem has a "fat spot" in it, usually an oversized cap with the transmitter in it. Then you need a receiver device to display the readings and monitor them.

HIGHLY unlikely that you have TPMS and you just need to find those inside stems and figure out how to deal with them.

I have stem flexible extenders to solve that problem and they are more trouble than they are worth. I will be changing to solid extenders as soon as I get a set.....and the TPMS goes on the end where the shrader valve is.
