How do you answer when a stranger asks about MPG?

Just finished a 7100 cross country trip and averaged 9.2 mpg. Of course I only have a 340 hp diesel and not a 600 hp diesel. I receive that mpg question all the time. I tell them my RV mpg, then my wife's minivan Mpg, then my jeep wrangler mpg. Then follow up with it way better than the 2 mpg for the boat I was looking at before I bought the RV!!
