Well, I took it out today and tried the instructions given. At 40 MPH, I flipped the switch does nothing and it stays in the same gear until my speed gets down to a point to where it naturally downshifts. I tried it at 60 since my tranny up-shifts into 6th gear at 55 MPH. Again, it does nothing until it hits 55 MPH, which is the speed it always downshifts to 5th. There is no effect whatsoever on the speed other than slowing because my foot is off the accelerator. I tried it at lower speeds, higher speeds and I get nothing and the gear does not change until I get to the speed to where it naturally downshifts.
The flapper arm is moving with the switch but I'll have to check to see if it is moving and actually closing the butterfly. I guess I'll have to take it to someone after some more checking that some of you have suggested. Jacobs still has not replied to my email.
