How long before buying a toad
How long did you have a Class A motorhome before you bought a tow vehicle. I just bought a Class A but don't have a car that I can tow without a dolly. I'm not going to tow a vehicle on a dolly.

We started full-timing with no toad. We did have a motorcycle we had hauled on a utility trailer behind the motorhome. Our first camp host position was 18 miles from the closest store, so grocery shopping was a challenge. We went 1 year with no vehicle. We purchased a used Jeep which I drive as DH still has his motorcycles and trailer. During that first year I had discovered I do not like riding in the motorhome. Feel like I'm going in the ditch/field, ravine all the time. So I drive it. In 4 years I still don't think we have spent in fuel what it would cost us to get it set up for the towing. We are usually stationary after a month or so of travel spring and fall. It is a pain not to have a car unless you are just a weekend camper.
