The only thing that I would add to this thread is to buy a 2006 - 2010 MH. By 2006 Ford and Chevy made all their chassis/engine improvements. I don't know of any improvement beyond 2006. The knee of the deprecation curve is about 2010. I would favor the Chevy over the Ford for the Allison 6 speed transmission and would look for the lightest shortest MH that would fit your camping style. I think a 32 ft MH that weights 16,000 lbs will have less drive train wear than a 38 ft MH that weights 22,000 lbs or more. Also a used MH from the northern states will have less sun damage to decals, roof paint, plastic parts etc that one from Fla or Az for example. Unlike cars these are not driven in the snow and salt.
