My 2004 Ford based GWV wouldn't start if it sat for a week. Ford insisted that there was nothing wrong with the battery and wouldn't cover it under the warranty.
My current Chevy will start up with no problem even after sitting for a month.
So YMMV... and few around with much experience with the Promaster. Perhaps on the Promaster Forum?
Personally I would get a battery disconnect put directly on the battery. That is what I had to do with my Ford and it worked like a charm. It was one of these:
battery disconnect switch
