Get an experienced driver to help you. I often recommend going to your local transit agency and asking if one of their instructors would do lessons in his/her leisure time. When I took up transit driving as a post-retirement job, it took just 3 days of 4 hours a day before I took and passed my CDL test. Within a couple of weeks, I was driving 40-foot coaches in rush-hour traffic.
Your local school district would be another source of help. Any one who can hustle a 40-foot bus with 70 screaming kids on board through residential neighborhoods would have no problem showing you how to drive your rig on the highway.
