The wife and I can go 5-7 days without having to empty our tanks.
Next time you flush your toilet look down the hole with a flashlight and see if it really is full and if the waste is moving in to the tank or sitting still, indicating a plug of some sort. Naturally the previous owner could have put a diaper, or anything down the toilet at some time that is causing a problem.
