Before we purchased our RV, we owned sailboats for about 25 years. Although we still enjoyed sailing, we found we lacked some of the passion we once had and found we were using the boat more because it was there rather than we really wanted to go. If you think RVing is expensive, once you factor in all the marina charges it is pennies compared to what owning a boat cost and I would imagine those in the aviation hobby find it even more expensive.
In any case, I can't speak for anyone else but I believe someday we will find that owning the RV will fall into the same category. Hopefully that will be a long time from now.
