I am still working as well but make at least one 2200 mile round trip each year from Fort Worth to Bristol, TN and back over about 10 days.
It usually takes about 17 hours total and I have routinely done about 10-12 hours the first day each way. As others have said, it usually depends on traffic flow. Not had any issues with the longer days.
However, I did try a different approach 2 years ago by driving it in 3 days and it was much more relaxing, less stressful and pure joy only driving about 6 hours per day.
Will be enjoying taking my time very soon!!!!
