Just to be clear, since the OP started with the F53 chassis, the F53 did not get OBDII until the introduction of the Triton V10 in 1999. The 460 equipped F53's had OBDI until they were discontinued after 1997. There were no 1998 model year F53's. The Scangauge will only work with 1999 and newer F53's.
