Where are you going? There are some places you need a car, some places where bicycles work fine, some places where everybody gets around in roadworthy (or not) golf carts. Some places public transport works well enough, lived in cities where I didn't drive anything months at a time.
Not all snowbirds, motorhome or no, tow a car with them. Many keep a car at each end of the trip, if going back and forth to the same places. Some who snowbird in big fivers keep a car at each end because their tow vehicle is kind of big for getting around. My brother has a nine year old SUV at one end of his trip, a 22 year old sedan at the other, but in his southern home 90% of his trips out of the house are golf cart. Whatever works for the particular destination, his is a golf resort.
Getting around locally in a C motorhome? I do it while traveling, when going to mostly rural areas, but that's moving every day, running errands enroute, not breaking camp to get around. If I'm staying for a while I tow a car (two set up for it) or arrange alternate transportation (rent, borrow, hire, or use public transport). Most snowbird destinations I know have been so congested, parking and roads, that a C is too big for getting around, parking the biggest problem.
