"How old" is very individual. Each situation has so many variables. At 65 seeing a 94 y/o driving scares me to death, for what he/she may do to others or themselves. But then when I get closer to 90's myself, I may feel differently. Just so many subtle changes we don't even notice as they happen. I have been driving for 50+ yrs if you count the farm stuff, and it all seems to be instinctive. Then I go to a new city and have to find my way "on the fly" and find I have to get closer to the signs to make sense of them. My eyesight is fine (w/glasses), but reaction time is what I'm getting at. I think I'm fine, until I have to do something different than everyday and find I'm not quite as quick as I thought I was. I want to RV long enough that the DW (64) is willing to sell the house and go full time, but she's about 20 yrs away from that, it seems
We live in a rural area and our parish is a mission parish. We have a priest that comes once and a while, from Jeff City, to Mansfield Mo he is 94 and he still drives. If I see an 80 plus year old in a class "A" Diesel pusher Don't scare me.
