Me, I would paint the head of a stainless steel screw the same color as the exterior, bed it with a good sealant and move on. As already said, you have DOZENS of screw holes in the sidewalls.

I struggle with this response. Nothing personal, but to me if I buy a brand new RV and a screw from something being atached to the inside punctures the outer wall, it's unacceptable. One, I can't beleive the guys putting these things together have no more work ethic, and 2 how did it make it off the line like that and then past PDI? Nope, unacceptable. The more we shrug off stuff that should have never made made it off the line and write it off as the nature of the beast, the more it will continue to to happen. Stuff happens, RV's are complicated I get it. But******like this happens far too often espcially given what these things cost.
The OP ordered the two months ago and it just got here, so that's pretty quick. But if he's now going to say he doesn't want this and get me another, he's going to wait two more months at least to get another. Then what if it has some tiny flaw that is also "unacceptable?" Do we just keep going and going?
I am not saying he should get a new MH. I am simply frustrated at the lack of QC and PDI. I have never had any other vehicle with a screw poking out of the exterior, my house was not built with a bolt coming through the brick. Yes it's minor. But man, there is no qc at all in MH's. None. For the money we pay can you truly say the craftsmanship is up to par? I don't want to make a mountain out of a molehill, but come on. If this is visible, what else isn't? I am sure it's fine but it's just so frustrating.
