Some of these responses are the kind that prompted me to start another thread on QC. I see it this way; yes it's a small hole, likley to cause little or no damage and can be fixed. My point, and I think some on here share is that we have come to accept these things as the nature of the beast. I look at it differently. It all started with the guy installing the screw and ran it through the wall. He's likley to know it happened and at that moment had a responsability to fix it. He didn't. On to paint and decals. I am sure they noticed it and had a chance to fix it, they didn't. On to QC or lack thereof, they had a chance and didn't. On to the dealer, PDI did not catch it. Finally the only person who caught it was the untrained consumer who does not work in the industry. Good catch on his part, but come on. This was ignored way upstream. Why? to get it out the door and sold. And by some of the answers on here, it's totally acceptable and further enable these types of things to continue as "no big deal". Like I said, in the grand scheme it's no big deal, but an EXAMPLE of how slipshod the whole process is, no work ethic, lack of responsability by the manufacturer and the finally the dealer. It's a screw, but to me it speaks volumes of how this industry works. And slapping caulk on a brand new MH to cover up someone's mistake when it could have been addressed during the build is BS. I am not making a mountain out of a molehill. THe mountain is already there, The molehill allows us to shed light on it. The lack of accountability and poor workmanship will continue as long as there are plenty of consumers willing to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a product with known faults shrugged off as no big deal.
