I'm glad we can all agree to disagree. Someone mentioned about snaps on the outside for shades. I would personally would never do it but if I did there would be a 1/8 inch or so pilot hole drilled then some sort of caulk or silicone applied then the fastener installed on a nice clear sunny day. I can see no way to have a screw screwed from the inside and coming out the other and leaving a clean neat hole. I'm thinking more of a mounding hole with some spider cracking. As far as all the other screws,rivets or fasteners on the rv they are there for a reason and not in the center of your rv for no reason. Nobody on here knows what will happen down the road even if a little water got in there and starts to delam. down the road. Maybe these manufactures will learn a lesson if you refuse it. To them right now it's no big deal deal with it.
