how serious is screw hole in exterior of new motorhome

Lots of bogus talk about profit and greed, here is your reality check. Stock chassis from GM or Ford runs around 40K. Now take a good look at the class A RV that is advertised for 68K. So lets see you build the box, finance the building, materials, and pay your employees. Leave a few grand for the dealer and lets see you make a profit. Hopefully this fad of "all company owners are evil and greedy" will pass. Its just sad to see the damage done in the mean time.
