How to access PS and Brake fluid reservoirs

Last year I bought a 1993 Pace Arrow, 454 Chev chassis in great condition(82K miles) from the original owner. Now I need to add power steering and brake fluid and I can't see the reservoir caps to add the fluid. The older gentleman I bought the coach from said that the brake master cylinder is accessed from under the left front wheel well and the fluid has to be added from above with a long funnel with a hose on it. He said the power steering fluid is added from above and to follow the drive belt to locate the pump and reservoir. Try as I may, I cannot see either reservoir from any angle. I'm pretty good with engines and mechanical issues generally but man, I just must have gone blind because I just can't locate these fill caps and frankly I can't believe Fleetwood would put something on the road that is so difficult to service. I'm hoping that someone can help me. I can't drive the RV until these fluids are topped up and maybe the brakes bled too. ANY HELP SUPER APPRECIATED.

  • MY 1990 the same. I had my mechanic do it at oil change time. They work on straight job trucks and are familiar with the procedure.
MY advice is the brake fluid is probably original and is long overdue for changing. So have some one bleed the lines and put in new brake fluid.
Brake fluid deteriorates over time and the boiling point gets lower and lower so that the fluid WILL boil away.
  • The brake fluid reservoir is on the inside of the frame rail just behind the left front wheel.
  • Look, cause that is where they are located. Pull the doghouse and you will see where the funnel with a hose on it comes into play.
