Remote starter would connect one side to the large battery side terminal and the other to the small ignition switch input of the relay. It will or should bypass such items as the neutral safety switch. It will not bypass starter relay.
To bypass starter relay, you can use a single jumper cable. Connect one end to battery side large terminal of relay and then touch the other large terminal with the other end.
Yes it will spark!
