Hi, I just went through this with my 88 Rv. I spent 2 days searching the web and finally went to my local metal worker. Had a cover made stainless steel that fit over my 2 burner cooktop. I measured the width and depth then added 1/2 inch to each of these dimensions. Then I measured from the counter top to the top of the burners (vertically). Add 1/4 inch to this dimension.
This gives you a rectangular cap that you can fit over the burners. About the bottom edge I put slit plastic tubing to keep it from rattling. We cut a piece of thick bubble wrap to put on top of the burners before putting the cover on for traveling to keep everything from rattling when traveling. When using the cook top we set the cover up vertically behind the burner. This forms a splash plate which we can wash as needed.
This cost us $81 (which included tax)which I think was a bargain. If you buy on the internet you may have to pay freight or if it isn't what you wanted, you will have to pay the freight back and maybe a re-stocking fee.
