When I changed mine (in a 1999 Fleetwood pace arrow) I was able to drop the new cable (with a weight attached) down thru the hole, and it came out the bottom.
Then routed it forward along the frame, up in front of the firewall, through the firewall and under the inside windshield trim.
I also adapted the housing for the original giant b/w crt monitor to fit the new smaller lcd color monitor inside. Looked factory original.
