Thanks everyone for the helpful advice.
I ended up using the existing cable and I cut the connectors off of each end of the new and the old cable and soldered the new connectors onto the old cable.
The new cable was 5 conductor and the old one was only 4, but I found out that there was one wire in the new cable that I didn't need. It was for switching between the front and back view and since the camera was always going to be facing the back, I would never need to switch so I wouldn't need that wire.
Bottom line, everything works great now. It's so much better having a color camera and monitor and the new one has the grid lines showing the 3ft, 2ft, 1ft and zero areas.
I wired it into the parking light instead of the backup lights. Now I can turn on the parking lights and see the toad if I want to check it.
