That is interesting about not using plastic bags. I have always used zip lock bags over my EMS/50AMP plug. I cut a hole in the bottom of the bag and pull it down over the EMS/50AMP plug like a dress. I then use a wire tie to wrap it around the cut hole to close it up a bit. I guess you could use Gorilla tape if you want a really tight seal but I have never used it myself. Then I ALWAYS leave the bottom of the bag open for air circulation. I have done this for several years without damage. YMMV.
