Permit me a little misdemeanor thread drift.....
While I don't see what the big deal is in making up a corner bed I am surprised that after all of these posts complaining about it no one has brought up making the cabover bed. In contrast the cabover bunk is waaaay harder to reach and you have a lot less overhead to work with. Ours is huge, 8' X 57", so to keep it simple we leave a nice full queen size comforter spread out and just unroll a couple of sleeping bags, either used as singles or zipped together for a double as needed.
Most of the time we use the cabover as a TV or reading lounge and on rare occasions have guest(s), usually just one. We have several throw pillows along with two queen size bed pillows which makes for very comfortable lounging. I wonder what folks who use this bunk as their primary bed do. Any tips, secrets or general advice?
