I bought the cable and software for my laptop for about $175 when I was getting Check engine on my Freightliner CAT.
Most shops are gonna stroke you $100-$175 to read the codes once.
With the Silvefleaf it is displaying as you are driving. Let's you customize gauges for trans temp etc.
Their tech support was very helpful explaining my codes.
By the way, I own a Freightliner FLD112 semi tractor with a Cat C12. I will check out if it has a diagnostic connection, it is a year 2000 model truck.
