How to tell if hot water heater runs off gas or electric

Another newbie question. I know my hot water heater uses propane to ignite, but how do I tell whether, when connected to a 30 amp power source, electricity is actually being used to heat the water. ...

When you first turn it on, it is a "water heater". Once it is on and starts to cycle on and off, it is a "hot water heater".:h :B


No, then it is a water re-heater or water warmer-upper ;) ;) ;)
