Sorry to hear that J-Rooster.........hope you're doing better.
This is the second time I've been there, the first was about 4 years ago. I camped on the BLM land just sound of the big tent. No hookups but they have water and a dump........I didn't use either. Cost was $40 and was good for I believe 2 weeks. I could easily walk to the big tent and other vedors from where I was parked, so no trouble looking for a parking spot. I was there for 3 days. Looking out across the desert it did seem them were fewer RV's there. The big tent still was very crowded the couple times I visited.........although I heard some vendors say they thought the crowds were down a little. I heard one of the major vendors there say they had the best year ever. Will I go again.....probably so, the desert is beautiful in it's own way. The weather was great when I was there, I did hear they had one day of very strong winds though.
