I would suggest anyone that is evacuating that can't find a place to stay, be sure to mention you are evacuating. When we evacuated for Matthew, we couldn't find anything open. I called back the place we ended up staying at and told them we were evacuating and just needed a place to park, without hookups were fine. They made room for us.
When going to attractions, be sure to mention you evacuated. We found lots of discounts as a result. Wild Adventures in Valdosta, GA will be open and is offering free admission to anyone that shows their ID showing you came from an evacuated area.
