There have been more posts about this than probably any subject here. The most accepted fix is to wash the extended jacks with soap and water to remove the grime and grit. Pay special attention to the upper seals. I have also wiped the extended jacks with ATF fluid applied to a paper towel, and the combination has radically increased jacks-up times.
I would be reluctant to use silicone or WD-40 or any other foreign fluid.
