HWH Removal

Week and a half out from getting a call from hwh on removal of jacks for rebuild . Trying to do myself ..any suggestions ?
  • Get yourself four drain pans if you are removing all four. Place one under each jack and loosen the lines and allow the system to drain overnight. Place caps on the hoses and plugs in the rams. This keeps things neater. Remove the mounting bolts and set the rams in a cardboard box lined with several sheets of newspaper. This is just to keep things neat. Clean up, walk in to the house and check the yellow pages for a hydraulic repair shop near you. Take your rams in and have them rebuild them. It will be faster, most likely cheaper and won't involve expensive shipping. There is nothing special or different about a hydraulic ram for a leveling system. They consist of a shaft, body, bushings and o-rings.

  • when I had one frozen down a mobile tech removed it quickly and the only real issue was capping off the hydraulic lines.
