On the first overnight of our most resent trip we had a jack that did not retract. I pried it up and didn't use the jacks the rest of the trip. Now that we are home the jack works normally. How do you fix some thing that ain't broke?
I will clean the gland nut and seal and see what happens in the future.
Removing the jack involves 2 big Springs that I don't know how to deal with yet.
Simple answer. IF you have HWH jacks and you have to PRY it to retract, then the cylinder must be replaced. When Inner seals of an HWH jack fail, they will sometimes work but if they ever fail to retract and you must lever/pry it up, that means the Solenoid is OK. Otherwise you could not pry it up. So, I would suggest you either rebuild that bad jack or replace it. Doug
