I don't get why many more FREDS aren't offered.

In the last 15-20 years, it's quite common to find a diesel in a 3/4 ton or 1 ton Ford or GM truck. No big deal. But on the other hand we have these big heavy class A rigs built on the F53 or workh...

The most common complaint on gas MH's is the sound of the engine. A FRED only makes that a lot worse------------and for what?? A small improvement in mpg?? In addition to the significantly higher purchase price, you also get increased maintenance costs.

It's been tried and it never sold well.
