I guess I must pay more attention to what's going on than a lot of folk. In my early working life, I was a test engineer for Norton motorcycles, riding 500 miles a day round the UK in daily 8-hour shifts. Going that fast on a bike 5 days a week, you have to be hyper-alert to avoid getting scraped off the pavement. BTW, back then there were no speed limits outside of residential 30 mph zones.
