My question to you is do you really need to "Live" in the motorhome? Speaking as someone far from retirement, why not buy a much more "affordable" RV (Motorhome, travel trailer, whatever) and keep your home if you can afford it. That way you can do short weekend trips, week to 2 week trips, month trips, and even the entire summer / winter trips but still return home. I think you will find yourself much more comfortable with a much smaller / less equipped RV if it is for vacations rather than living in it. Just a thought as an alternative. You don't HAVE to spend 6 figures.
