I was an IDIOT for buying a Thor Palazzo!!!

You are not an idiot, I am an idiot for buying a 2012 Tiffin allegro 35QBA with the same schwintek slide system. What a piece of garbage. I have two slides with this system and both have had problems from day one as well. I've had the dealer "fix" the problem 4 times but the kitchen slide still doesn't work unless I override it manually and the larger bunk slide has my heart going when I operate it as it may or may not work. The bunk slide tends to go out of sync slightly when operating, which is why I worry. Those videos put out by schwintek are a hoot, "manually push the slide", you've got to be kidding. The slides weigh a ton on my unit...

Anyway, sorry to hijack your thread but I am with you that schwintek system is not built for heavy slides no matter what anyone says.
