I am late comer to this but I find it very interesting to read what issues there are with units out there and the solution. DW and I looked at a new Palazzo as we loved the floor plan. Salesman unlocked the door for us to go in to look it over and the slide is torn apart with a bad motor on the floor and new motor ready to be installed. That was huge turnoff to us but we did take it for a drive. That was the clincher for me. It was like trying to herd a chicken down the road. Too bad as it had a lot of really good features. We elected to buy an experienced unit. It has not been perfect either.
The one week our Palazzo has been in our possession I had the opportunity to put a lttle over 150 miles on it. Woohoo! But I experienced the exact opposite. I think it drives like a dream. The Freight-liner chassis and Cummins rides and sounds nice. It's everything else about the RV that makes it bad. It's a shame Thor desecrated a decent chassis like that.
