The gap is at the bottom. So the top closes half way correct. It seems as though that would just put more stress on the Schwintek system. I am waiting for that one to break too just like the large slide out did. At any rate, the reason why it is not closing fully at the bottom is because on the inside the slide out floor is hitting the bed frame, which looks to be fairly solid and not moveable. However, Thor says that they have to now move the bed in order to make the slide out close properly.:h
