I'll assume that the OP signed a purchase contract, signed an application and promised to pay back the finance company the entirety of the money loaned plus interest. The finance company surely reviewed the OP's credit rating, analyzed his ability to repay and assessed the value of the collateral before making this loan.

Now, the OP has regrets about his purchase. Specifically, he regrets that he chose a Thor Palazzo MH. He regrets this because the slides do not work and appear to him to be a serious engineering flaw. He doubts they can can be fixed to his satisfaction. And so the OP wants to renege on his promise to repay the loan.

Several people have commented that the OP should continue to make the loan payments but no one has flat out said that it is unethical and unfair to the finance company to stop paying them as he agreed to. Maybe Thor should have built a better MH. Maybe CW should stand 100% behind the products they build. Maybe the OP should have done more research before buying this product when he already had suspicions about the product.

But the finance company? What did they do wrong? Looks to me as if their only mistake as A) loaning money to a person who would go back on his promise to pay or B) Loaning money on a Thor Palazzo.

At the end of the day, everyone needs to do the right thing here and that includes the OP who should fulfill his promise to repay this loan he agreed to.

This is not about a loan, Ability to pay back or anything like that.. This is about a lemon. I felt it necessary to bring this to their attention. In fact they wanted all the documentation. We will not default. With that Said read my next post,
