I believe this is the method I will use.
If you go this method, I would then cycle the ice maker to open the tube for complete draining.

When winterizing the MH I just leave the ice maker on until I get pink slush. I can't get good access to the back of it to jump the solenoid as the owners manual states.
In the spring when I de-winterize I also sanitze, again I turn the ice maker on until I get clear ice. Do the same again when I flush out the chlorine. Takes time but our camping season finishes long before the freezing cold sets in.
